We armor the floor of the cabins; and in some helicopters such as the Bell 206, only the pilot seat; on the Black Hawk UH-60, only the passenger area.
The armor weight for 7.62 AP is 40 kilos per sq. Meter
Our helicopter armor is made with Silicon carbide tiles laminated with rubberized Twaron. This option is 20% lighter than with alumina tiles.
ISBI has armored over 20 helicopters for both civilian and military. (American, Russian, French)
We have also armored Colombian Air Force<br> C-130 gunships.
