BALLISTIC
It is very difficult to decide whether to armor a vehicle or not, because the procedure involves a high cost, besides the limited knowledge of the customer about this technology.

In order to determine the levels of armor, the following characteristics of the projectile are considered:
1. Velocity: The higher speed, the greater penetration power.
2. Diameter: The bigger diameter of projectiles, the more penetration. (Damage)
3. Hardness: The greater hardness, the more penetration.
4. Shape: The more cone-like shape of the projectile, the more penetration.
5. Weight: The heavier the projectile is, the more penetration.

Our satisfied clients include civilians as well as government entities such as DAS, Congress, Indumil, Secretary of Interior, Army, etc. Our specific customer information is held in the most strict confidence.

LEVEL I. Antivandalism

Used for protection from vandals such as blows with bricks, hammers, bats, etc.

(We do not offer this type of armor)

LEVEL II. Antitheft

Stops low power projectiles (.25,.32,.38).

(We do not offer this type of armor)

Level III (NIJ IIIA)

This level is designed to stop multiple 9mm submachine rounds.
It is known as level IIIA. Most of the vehicles that we armor are in this level.
The weight of the vehicle increases 500 pounds.

Level B4+

This armor is designed to stop the Five Seven pistol caliber 5.7X28mm. These projectiles travel at a speed of 640 meters per second. The weight of the bullet is 40 grains, almost the same as the 5.56.

This armor also stops AK-47 Kalashnikov 7.62X39 (730 meters per second) soft core.

The price of the armor for an SUV starts at US $30,000

Rifle (CEN B6). This level is used when the threat level is high (rifle calibers 7.62 @ 830 meters per second) and 5.56 SS109 and M193 called B6+). The roof and floor are usually armored with level IIIA. The weight of the vehicle increases 1,900 lbs.
These two types of projectiles are very difficult to stop with this level. The 7.62 in glass because of its a heavy round, and the 5.56 because of its high speed 930 M/S.
Ammunition type: In 5.56 Ball penetrates metals far better than 7.62 Nato ball (M-80) while type SS109 easily penetrates thin plastics such as Spectra, Famostone and Aristone.
The tests are made at a distance of 25 meters, to allow the projectile to be stabilized.
It is equivalent to level B6 CEN European Norm or NIJ III

The Glass is 45mm thick

Price for SUV at this level is US $50,000

In our latest developments we have been able to go one step ahead of other armoring companies.  Now we are offering .50 BMG M33 protection.

The .50 caliber round is 4.7 times heavier than the 7.62 Nato with about the same speed (2,750 fps).

It simulates heavy fragments thrown by IED's. The threat from this round is real due to the common use of the Barrett rifle by snipers.

Currently the only standard for this round is the is UL 752 armor Level 10   (revised Dec. 21/2006)

The protection is far higher than CEN B7 or NIJ IV.

With our patented transparent armor we stop this round with our curved 80mm glass system.

The opaque is ballistic steel reinforced by German Twaron rubberized laminates.

Price for SUV at this level is US $80,000
